Atkins celebrate first anniversary of HBOS Partnership
Atkins has marked a successful first anniversary of their partnership with Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS) with a special celebration at their Helpdesk in Leeds. The anniversary follows the announcement that the partnership has been shortlisted for the Partners in Facilities Management award by Premises & Facilities Management (PFM).
Atkins has been working with HBOS since 1997 providing independent Helpdesk and Managing Agent services. Last year the partnership entered an ambitious new phase as Atkins was awarded a five year contract that increased service provision to HBOS’s entire property estate of over 1700 retail branches and major employment sites across the UK.
The new partnership was launched on July 1st last year under the identity of Genie. Genie consists of over 20 organisations including Atkins, HBOS and various members of the supply chain who are committed to the effective delivery of asset management services to the HBOS estate as one entity.
It has been a challenging but successful start to the partnership which was mobilised in just three months and has seen over 90 new staff join Atkins to deliver Genie.
The Helpdesk now receives on average 21,000 calls a month with the whole HBOS FM Business Model being underpinned by Atkins Intelligence (Ai). Ai is a web based asset management system designed by Atkins in partnership with IBM, which is used by all Genie organisations providing real time service transparency to all stakeholders. Ai is used daily by 850 people from over 20 organisations forming a virtual team.
Since the launch Asset Management has gone on to deliver consistently high standards to HBOS and is currently exceeding its performance targets.
Speaking on the first anniversary, Lee Hattersley, Asset Management’s HBOS Account Director, said, “Atkins and Ai has delivered many benefits to both the customer and the supply chain. By demonstrating the performance of both assets and suppliers, effective decisions and actions can be taken to drive continuous improvement.”
The partnership with HBOS and the Genie Model is one of three finalists that have been shortlisted in the Partners in Facilities Management category at the PFM Awards. The winners of the Award will be announced in November.
Martin Wilson, HBOS Head of Customer Services, said, “I would like to thank all of those involved for their hard work over the last year. Genie is the leading service delivery model in HBOS and we need to continue to focus and look for continuous improvements across the Genie Alliance.”
