Atkins and HBOS win Partners in Facilities Management Award at 2007 PFM Awards
Atkins and Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS) are celebrating after scooping the prestigious Partners in Facilities Management Award at the 2007 Premises and Facilities Management (PFM) Awards.
Atkins has been working with HBOS since 1997 and last year launched a new partnership under the identity of Genie providing independent Helpdesk and Managing Agent services to HBOS’ entire property estate of over 1700 retail branches and major employment sites across the UK.
The Award recognises the focus on strategically aligned partnerships with all the organisations, including over 40 supply chain partners, responsible for the delivery of Genie to HBOS and its customers.
Representatives from Atkins, HBOS and the supply chain attended the PFM Award ceremony which was held at the Brewery in London and was hosted by BBC Sport presenter, Clare Balding.
Speaking at the ceremony, the judges commented, “Even though the model was just a year old, it clearly demonstrated partnership in action over and above the other finalists. This partnership supports a world-class estate-wide solution for HBOS using best in class service providers and leading edge IT and communication systems all working together under the Genie brand. This partnership is a worthy winner of this category."
Andrew Wilkinson, Head of the Asset Management Managing Agent Business at Atkins said, “This is a massive achievement for all involved in the delivery of the FM service to HBOS and demonstrates that the FM industry recognises the need for innovative FM delivery models in the provision of first class property strategies."
