Appropriately skilled staff are paramount in a fast-moving, safety-conscious rail industry. Atkins has the expertise and flexibility to provide core and specialist training for track safety and occupational health and safety.
Via two dedicated and accessible facilities - in London (Vauxhall) and the Midlands (Derby) - high quality training is delivered in a professional learning environment. In addition to providing Track Safety, DC Electrification, London Underground Ltd (LUL) and Health & Safety training, a team of licensed trainers also offers the expertise to design bespoke courses which satisfy individual customer requirements.

Training Course Prospectus
The Vauxhall training centre in London opened in 2007. It has four large purpose-designed classrooms with an extra classroom for assessments and smaller groups. The site also hosts a track section for use on practical courses such as personal track safety (PTS).
The Derby facility provides a professional classroom environment and separate assessment room, and these facilities are enhanced with outdoor demonstration equipment.
Practical demonstrations are facilitated by the proximity to Derby Railway Station. There we are able to give an insight into a busy operational railway through our approved Track Access.
Our team of licensed and approved trainers have a combined industry experience of over 120 years, made up with experience gained both inside the classroom and from practical site experience. Trainers are qualified in the subjects they teach, and are certified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 for training.
