Directions by road
Directions from the end of the M62:
Follow the Brown Tourist sign for "CENTRAL ATTRACTIONS & ALBERT DOCK".
You will now be on a dual carriageway which passes a retail centre on the left with MacDonalds/B&Q after about a mile.
Continue down the dual carriageway until it narrows to a single lane carriageway.
Go through the first set of traffic lights.
At the next set of main traffic lights the road branches left or right. Take the right turn -still following the sign "CENTRAL ATTRACTIONS & ALBERT DOCK".
You should then have a school on your left and be able to se the radio City Tower (again, on your left).
Go through the set of traffic lights.
At the Junction you will be forced left into a three lane system. Keep to the Central Lane.
Go throught the first set of lights.
You will pass the National Express Bus terminus on your left.
You will then see the Transports & General Workers Building (TGWU) in front of you. Keep this to your left and make sure you're in the left lane. It will bring you to a set of lights. Turn left at the "QUEENS SQUARE" sign-post.
You will now be on a dual carriageway. Pass under two flyovers and straight over the roundabout.
The Observatory is the Glazed Building in front of you.
Follow the road around so that you pass the front of the building on your left.
The NCP car park is signed and is immediately following the end of the building.
