Engaging with Education
We are actively engaged in a range of educational initiatives, from the sponsorship of university chairs, to mentoring 14-16 year olds and teaching primary school children about energy efficiency.
Our engagement with universities is channelled through our University Liaison Directors (ULDs) programme. A group of senior managers (the ULDs) are building relationships in strategically-important universities with the objective of positioning Atkins as an industrial partner of choice. The ULDs have developed close relationships with 16 universities in the UK, 12 in the USA, two in China, two in Singapore and one in Dubai. We also visit over 40 universities and academic institutions during our annual graduate recruitment cycle.
