Atkins Inspire Awards – recognising women in the built environment
Atkins has sponsored the Inspire awards for the last two years. The aim of the awards is to recognise and reward exceptional women working in architecture, building services, commercial property, construction, engineering or quantity surveying. The awards are publicised in major industry magazines such as New Civil Engineer.
In 2008, 14 of our women made the finals and we had two winners: Elspeth Duxbury took the Outstanding Achiever award in the Engineering category, and Shahida Rajabdeen, from F+G, won the Future Star award.
In 2007 we had two winners: Valerie Evans, Outstanding Achiever (Architecture) & Arpinder Bansi, Inspirational Leader (Civil Engineering).
