Arbiter's response on Interim Determination for Metronet BCV

WS Atkins plc (“Atkins” and “the Group”) notes that today the PPP Arbiter has announced draft directions on the Interim Infrastructure Service Charge requested by Metronet Rail BCV Limited.
Metronet’s response to the Arbiter’s statement was:
“Metronet Rail BCV Limited, responsible for the renewal of the London Tubes’ Bakerloo, Victoria, Central and Waterloo & City lines, today noted the draft directions from the PPP Arbiter, on its Interim Infrastructure Service Charge.
Today’s announcement follows Metronet’s Reference Application Notice to the Arbiter on 29 June 2007, together with its Statement of Case and Initial Submission, to enable him to conduct an Extraordinary Review of its operations.
Metronet Rail BCV will respond more fully to the Arbiter’s draft Interim Directions shortly, as soon as it has assessed the full impact on its business.”
The carrying value of Atkins’ investment in Metronet Rail BCV Limited is £Nil, as is its investment in Metronet Rail SSL Limited.
