News releases 2015

Atkins will be exhibiting at ADIPEC – the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference – from 9-12 November 2015 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

The Atkins stand (13580 in Hall 13 at Central Plaza) will showcase expertise in offshore and onshore engineering specifically focussing on asset integrity and production optimisation, and innovating ways of keeping existing assets going for longer.

Martin Grant, chief executive officer of Atkins’ Energy business, attended the 2014 event and is looking forward to this year: “It’s the ‘must attend’ event for us in the Middle East, we recognise the opportunity the event brings through meeting so many people from across the region. 2014 was our first time here and really helped to establish us in the market.”

Atkins is one of the world’s leading energy consultancies and is currently working on projects across the Middle East energy sector for clients including ADMA-OPCO, ENEC and Hyundai Engineering and Construction Company (HDEC).

In oil and gas, Atkins designs and engineers fixed and floating production facilities and onshore facilities, including LNG, pipelines, and all associated infrastructure and project services. Atkins works with stakeholders upstream and midstream to deliver complex multidisciplinary projects which help to extend asset life and reduce cost safely. Atkins' strength in the region is compounded by process engineering and front-end project expertise, together with industry-leading capability in early infrastructure work (EIW).

“We has been involved in the Middle East oil and gas industry since the 1970s and we are finding a growing focus on asset management, an area where we have vast experience from our work in the North Sea, as companies look to extend the life of the assets they currently have.” explains Grant. “We’re delighted to continue our participation in ADIPEC and our role as an active member of the UAE’s energy initiatives.”
