News releases 2016

Atkins has climbed two places in The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers rankings for 2016/17, and now occupies 40th position.

The Top 100 companies were compiled from face-to-face interviews with 18,353 final year students, who graduated this summer, and were asked which employer they think offers the best opportunities for graduates.

Nick Roberts, Atkins’ chief executive officer, UK & Europe, said: “With technology evolving and changing the face of our industry at a rapid pace, and increasing pressures on resources driving the need for real innovation, there’s probably never been a more exciting time to pursue a STEM career. On behalf of our clients and the engineering sector, we’re committed to continuing our investment in the next generation of engineers, designers and project managers and enabling them to be the best they can be. We’re proud to have been recognised by students for the opportunities we can offer to them in creating their careers and making a positive difference in the world.”

Atkins’ three-year graduate programme provides the opportunity for young people to gain professional accreditation through real-life project experience, building the skills needed for a successful long-term career. The company recently welcomed over 250 new graduates to the organisation across a broad spectrum of markets and engineering disciplines up and down the country.
