News releases 2017

Atkins has secured over £5m of framework contracts and extensions during the last quarter of the financial year supporting new and existing clients based in the North East of the UK. Aberdeen is one of the hubs of Atkins’ oil and gas business and recent wins in the oil and gas sector, as well as in offshore renewables, are harnessing the skills gained from our 35 years of experience operating in offshore environments. This means our secured work load is positive for the new financial year.

Our Aberdeen office, along with Atkins’ other hubs around the UK and Europe, is continuing to grow with recruitment across our integrity management, subsea, pressure systems and process engineering teams aiming to add to the already strong 120+ person oil and gas team.

Les Newman, market director for onshore and offshore engineering said “Continued investment in the North East is a focus for our business. Recent strong bidding performance based around our added value and operationally focussed market offering means that we are looking to grow our diverse and highly competent engineering services team, expanding what we can deliver for the oil and gas, and wider renewables markets.”
