News releases 2017

Richard Beake, consultant in Atkins’ Energy UK & Europe business, will discuss how the findings of the SMR Techno Economic Assessment will impact the future of the SMR programme at the Nuclear Industry Association (NIA) SMR 2017 conference on Monday 27 February.

Richard will join Chris Lewis from EY, co-author of the Assessment, to look at how this can tie into the nuclear sector deal as part of the Industrial Strategy.

The 2017 conference will showcase the progress of developing a small modular reactor, covering topics ranging from the benefits of the SMR programme to Wales and Welsh industry, the role SMRs could play in the Industrial Strategy, financing and supply chain, and SMRs on the international scale.
