Our signalling and telecoms design teams have the capacity to undertake signalling work from outline feasibility studies to scheme and detailed design.
We provide installation, testing and commissioning on full scale remodelling programmes, as well as services on smaller technical investigation works. Our 200+ IRSE licensed signalling design engineers deliver a range of services from feasibility to detailed design for major and minor mainline and metro railway projects.
Supplementing our signalling design capability we have a qualified team of testers who can work on all major equipment and technologies for projects of any scale. We provide a testing and commissioning service for new or altered train control and communication systems, which integrate fully and smoothly into the working railway.
Signalling construction is also an integral part of our process in delivering a scheme from an approved design through to test and commissioning. This process includes the provision of new, amended and recovery of equipment across all generations of signalling systems from mechanical through to CBI and includes the associated civils work to support this.
Our telecoms teams provide engineering services for all phases of a project. From concept, through feasibility, business case through design and development, we have a wealth of technical knowledge and experience encompassing train radio systems, transmission, immunisation, copper and optical fibre cable networks, telephone systems, SCADA, driver only operation systems, and stations PA, CCTV and CIS.
Aside from the design and development, we also hold an independent safety assessment and advice capability.
