Atkins is working as part of an historic transformation programme that will help Belfast compete as a European city of choice. The Belfast Streets Ahead project will improve a large number of streets, spaces and squares incorporating public art and sculpture and reviewing street furniture, lighting and signs.

Following the successful design and delivery of 12 city centre streets, Atkins is now working in partnership with Farrans Construction to transform two of the city’s most important streets. These streets are not only a traditional shopping area, but also form a cultural core and are used for major public events and gatherings.

This is the city’s most significant investment in public realm to date.
