Atkins recently completed a single-option feasibility study for the proposed electrification of the Edinburgh to Glasgow rail line and associated routes.

Our multidisciplinary team conducted a series of surveys and developed layout plans covering 348 single-track miles. This work forms part of the early activity crucial to the Edinburgh to Glasgow Improvement Programme (EGIP) - the biggest enhancement project ever undertaken in Scotland.
