Atkins is providing masterplanning and urban design services for the central district of this new bonded container port in Ningbo, Eastern China. The bonded port zone will include business operations as well as procurement, trade and export processing, research and development and leisure facilities.

The challenge is not only to develop the bonded port area but also to integrate it with other uses on the island. This includes significant areas which require ecological protection.
