Five years as the Best Environmental Consultancy - 16 November 2009
Atkins has notched up three major wins in the Edie awards, the built environment sector’s most prestigious awards ceremony. The honours included being named Best Environmental Consultancy in the UK. This is the fifth year running that Atkins has scooped the top prize in the Environmental Excellence category.
Managing Director of Water & Environment, Graham Roberts, said: “It is really pleasing to get the main award five years in a row, and we should take it as a genuine measure of the esteem with which we are regarded in our industry. I am delighted and this is not just an award for Water & Environment – it’s an award for Atkins.”
The Edie survey polls the views of clients, consultants and industry peers who vote for the organisation they believe has the best reputation. It is based on Edie’s annual survey of the UK’s 50 largest environmental consultancies.

• Best Consultancy for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEAs)
This year’s winners were announced last Thursday at a prestigious ceremony at London's exclusive Hurlingham Club. The awards were hosted by skilled impressionist and comedian, Hugh Dennis of Mock the Week and Outnumbered and attended by guests from across the industry.
