Investigation and remediation of contaminated land, development of environmental protection standards and environmental improvement works were taken on by Atkins at a major residential and commercial development in London.

Atkins turned a network of contaminated underground storage tanks into an area of parkland. The project began with a multi-stage investigation and the development of environmental protection standards, culminating in the removal of 23 buried tanks. Following this, Atkins landscaped the area to provide a communal recreational space for residents.
